Vicente Estrada

Vicente Estrada is a senior advisor in the Expert Services and Restructuring Advisory practices. He joined Kroll in February 2019 as part of the firm’s acquisition of Forest Partners and he was the country head of Governance and Risk Advisory practices in Spain and Portugal until May 2022 With a professional career spanning 32 years, Vicente is one of Spain’s most experienced expert witnesses in accounting and financial matters.

Vicente has issued hundreds of expert witness reports, defending and ratifying evidence in criminal courts, including the National High Court, civil courts, employment tribunals and other jurisdictions. In addition, he has acted as an expert witness in numerous major arbitration cases, appearing before all of the Spanish arbitration courts and tribunals across Europe and Latin America, mostly in proceedings heard under International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) rules. Vicente has also been appointed as an arbitrator by mutual consent of the parties in disputes settled by arbitration in equity.

Vicente has performed a number of large investigations, combining forensic accounting capabilities with digital evidence and business intelligence. He has also been appointed as an insolvency administrator in some of the largest insolvency proceedings in Spain and completed a number of relevant financial restructuring assignments.

Vicente is accredited as a leading expert in the International Who’s Who of Investigations and Forensic Accountants.

He began his professional career in the audit department of KPMG in 1987, where he was promoted to partner, which in 1999 saw him create KPMG’s Forensic and Restructuring departments in Madrid.

In September 2007, he founded Forest Partners, a professional advisory firm specializing in the provision of services related to forensic practice, litigation and disputes, transactions, business crises and restructuring.

Vicente was awarded an Honors Degree in Economics and Business Studies by the Complutense University of Madrid in 1987, completing postgraduate studies at IESE Business School. He is a member of the Spanish Institute of Chartered Accountants, the Official Register of Auditors, the Madrid Institute of Economists and the Register of Forensic Accountants.

He is a founding member of the Turnaround Management Association (TMA) in Spain and a member of its governing board. He was a member of the Council of INSOL Europe and the Accounting Working Party of the Fédération des Experts Comptables Européens.
