Maria Pombo

Director, BeRescued

Maria studied Business Administration in Caracas, Venezuela and has an honours degree in combined Business Studies & Marketing from London Metropolitan University, UK. She is a member of the Turnaround Management Association and the European Association of Certified Turnaround Professionals. Maria became a Certified Turnaround Professional in December 2014 and is an Associate member for the Institute for Turnaround.

A Fellow of the Institute of Paralegals and a registered Tier 4 practising Professional Paralegal, Maria is a specialist in Commercial, Company and Insolvency litigation with court experience.

Maria established Be Rescued in 2014, driven by a mission to help small businesses facing challenges turn their problems into opportunities. Maria works in partnership with businesses to develop a road map for stability and growth.

In 2019, Maria founded Better Business @Hand, which brings together a team of experts from different disciplines to support small business owners and solve their problems on demand via mobile or video call.

Maria is EACTP’s current Finance Director and Company Secretary.

Maria speaks Spanish, enjoys cooking for friends and visiting the Norfolk coast. Above all, Maria is passionate about helping small businesses survive and thrive.
