Senior Associate, Garrigues (Madrid)Jaime is a Senior Associate in the Restructuring & Insolvency department of J&A Garrigues, based in Madrid.
He advises both investors and debtors in out-of-court restructuring proceedings as well as in legal refinancing or insolvency proceedings, whether domestic or cross-border, having participated in some of the most relevant bankruptcies in Spain defending the interests of financial institutions, investment banks, insurance companies, real estate companies, construction companies, venture capital companies and hedge-funds.
He has also amassed a wealth of experience in distressed M&A transactions, acquisitions of assets and production units within distressed scenarios, and in the sale and purchase of loan portfolios.
In 2018, Jaime worked as an International Associate in London (United Kingdom) at the British law firm Travers Smith LLP where he was part of the Restructuring and Insolvency (Finance) group. He has been a lecturer of Insolvency Law to students of the law degree at Universidad Rey Juan Carlos
