Franci Tušek

Senior Manager, Advisory - BRS and CF, PwC

Franci is Senior Manager in the Business recovery services (BRS) and Corporate finance (CF) section, responsible for project management in restructuring and complex M&A. He is also responsible for Financial services (FS) section development. He has led several Independent Business Review (IBR) projects and complex sell side (like disposal of certain assets/firms of companies in restructuring) or buy side mandates.

Before joining PwC, Franci worked 5 years at the Bank of Slovenia (BoS) at various positions. He was Senior Analyst in Financial stability where he was responsible for supervision of credit and liquidity risk of the whole banking system and at the level of individual banks. In Supervision department he was involved in several off-site and on-site supervision missions at several banks focused on credit risk (especially collateral valuation, level of impairments and credit approval process), supervisory review and evaluation process (SREP) and internal capital adequacy assessment process (ICAAP) for the biggest banks.

Two years in BoS he was part of BoS Management, where he was responsible for Restructuring project of the Slovenian banking system. His main tasks were supervision of all banks activities regarding NPE reduction and establishment of appropriate risk framework for efficient NPE reduction. Franci was also heavily involved in restructuring and recapitalization of Slovenian banking sector in 2013 and in establishment of Bank Assets Management Company or the Bad bank (BAMC). He is co-author of Slovenian financial restructuring principles for corporates and SMEs, which were issued by Slovenian Banking Association. He was also important member of the project team, which was responsible for the improvement of the latest insolvency legal framework (ZFPPIPP).

In 2015 he obtained a GARP FRM (Financial Risk Manager) certificate confirming his compliance with ethical standards and proficiency.
