
Federico Lalatta Costerbosa
Director of the Board, Lungarno CollectionFederico has over 20-year experience in Hospitality, Travel & Leisure, as executive, advisor and investor.
He is currently Board members of Lungarno Collection and Sandoz Foundation Hotels, two luxury boutique hotel chains in Italy and Switzerland, and advises private equity and hedge funds on transactions and transformation programs of hospitality companies across Europe.
From 2013 to 2018 he has been EVP, Global Strategy and member of Executive Committee of IHG (InterContinental Hotel Group) the world’s second largest hotel group. While at IHG, Federico’s responsibilities included shaping the overall group strategy and overseeing its execution, pursuing global business development opportunities, reviewing all capital investments, and enhancing IHG’s proposition to hotel owners. Among other initiatives he led the acquisition of Kimpton Hotels&Resorts, the world’s leading boutique hotel chain, and co-led the launch of Avid and Voco, a midscale and an upscale brands, and the relaunch of Crowne Plaza, one of the world’s leading upscale brands.
Prior to IHG, Federico worked for 20 years at BCG (The Boston Consulting Group), where he was Partner & Managing Director and advised Italian and multinational companies competing in the Travel&Leisure sector – including hotel groups, airlines, cruises and tour operators – and other consumer markets.
Federico founded in 1992 T.E.C. (Turismo Eventi Cultura), a pioneering travel venture aimed at offering access to private historic estates and art collections to wealthy and discerning travellers.
Federico holds a BA in Economics from the Bocconi University in Milan and an MBA from INSEAD.
