Álvaro Cobo
Managing Director, Spain & Portugal, Gordon BrothersÁlvaro is Managing Director heading up Gordon Brothers’ operations for Iberia. Álvaro oversees and facilitates the growth of individual business services across Spain & Portugal.
Álvaro has over 17 years’ experience in Restructuring, Private Equity and M&A. He is a Partner at Amura Management Partners, a leading Spanish advisory and interim management firm focused on special situations and restructurings.
Prior to Amura, Álvaro spent five years as a Partner at Atlas Capital, a Private Equity Fund investing in LBO and growth capital deals, where he led several investments in mid-size companies. He started his career as a management consultant at The Boston Consulting Group and spent five years at DC Advisory (formerly Close Brothers), advising on a large number of M&A deals.
Álvaro graduated in Industrial Engineering from the University of Navarra and holds an MBA degree from IESE. He speaks Spanish and English.
