Landslide election, Brexit acrimony, a worldwide pandemic, PPE bust ups, global lockdowns, vaccination anarchy. "What's Next?". Our great friend and TMA UK supporter Lord Maurice Glasman will be delivering his 11th TMA UK lecture on 5th May at 10.30am.
Sponsored again by Corporate Finance and Restructuring Advisory group, FRP Advisory, we look forward to welcoming another entertaining and no-holds barred event, hosted hopefully for the last time on-line over Zoom. Let’s make this a special event as we aim to move back to the House of Lords next year.
TMA UK Board member Adrian Doble will host and pose your questions to Maurice to create an interactive hour that attracted over 300 registrations in 2020. “We have had amazing insight and content from Lord Maurice over 11 years. He has become a legend in our community. And his predictions are coming true month by month. So, Maurice, What’s next?”
Baron Glasman was made a life peer in 2011 following a decade of work as a main proponent of the Living Wage. Shortly afterwards he formed The Common Good Foundation, a charity dedicated to reconciliation and supported by leaders and institutions across business, politics and civic society. He also coined the phrase Blue Labour which advocates a return to community involvement, something that has involved him the emerging levelling up strategy of Government. Maurice is writing a book; “Blue Labour, The Politics of The Common Good.” His is also writing a book with Bank of England Chief Economist Andy Haldane.
