Tyrone Courtman is currently a Partner in RSM Restructuring Advisory LLP, located in the East Midlands. RSM is an international Audit, Tax and Consulting practice providing services globally.

Formerly, Tyrone was a Managing Director in the Duff & Phelps Global Restructuring Advisory practice, based in Birmingham, and previously led Cooper Parry’s Business Transformation, Restructuring and Insolvency services practice, where he was Partner for over 22 years, located in the East Midlands.

Tyrone advises underperforming or financially stressed and distressed businesses, their owners, lenders, investors and individuals in financial restructuring and recovery situations. His experience spans a broad range of sectors including automotive, commercial aviation and aerospace, farming, distribution, construction, healthcare, intellectual property, professional partnerships and manufacturing.

Tyrone is a Chartered Accountant, a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), a fellow member of EACTP, and a Licensed Insolvency Practitioner. In addition, he is Chairman of the ICAEW Restructuring and Insolvency community, President of the Leicestershire and Northamptonshire District Society of Chartered Accountants, a member of the Turnaround Management Association’s (TMA) Global Board of Trustees and a member of the TMA Europe Board.

Outside of work, Tyrone enjoys playing hockey and flying. He is an enthusiastic pilot, Flight Instructor and Flight Examiner.

Tyrone is married to Jane and they have two children, Olivia (12) and Tobie (9). Both originate and have grown up in or around Leicester and continue to live in Leicestershire.
