This case study will focus onto the financing of the insolvency estate of a German wholesale group in the footwear sector with several companies located in Germany and several Eastern European Countries. It will show the steps to be taken by the insolvency administration to take up an asset-based estate loan and will especially discuss the possibilities and legal requirements and restrictions of loan securitization one might face in the different Eastern European jurisdictions.
