Since December 2017 he has been working in his quality as CEO/CRO of Trevi-Finanziaria Industriale SpA (Trevi Group) – Group listed on the Milan Stock Exchange that operates in the Construction and Infrastructure sector and in the Oil&Gas field – with a turnover of around € 900M and over 6,000 employees, active in the field of special foundations and related equipment.

The Company has been in a serious financial crisis for over two years with gross debt exceeding € 800M. As part of the restructuring process pursuant to Art. 182 bis, the Board of Directors, in agreement with the lender banks, appointed Sergio Iasi as CEO/CRO with all the ordinary and extraordinary powers in order to guide and conclude the restructuring process of the Group.

Jason started his career in the 1990s as a bankruptcy lawyer at the leading US law firm, Cadwalader and he then moved into investment banking and worked in the restructuring group at Close Brothers/ Houlihan Lokey.

Following this, Jason spent many years at Deutsche Bank where he worked as a distressed debt analyst and became a senior member of the distressed products group in London.

In 2012, Jason acquired a small distressed company with an FCA licence, FCFM Group Limited, for £6k with a balance sheet of £325k.  Jason stabilised the company and invested £5m of equity capital and began investing into smaller distressed assets, both property and corporate assets.  In 2018, Jason sold 92.5% of FCFM Group Limited for £57m to Michael Spencer, retaining a 7.5% stake in the company and continuing to serve as CEO through 2018/19.  Jason sold his remaining 7.5% stake in FCFM in March 2019 for £11m.  By 31 March 2019, Jason had grown FCFM’s balance sheet to over £88m of net assets.  During the 7 year period between 2012 and 2019, FCFM invested £122m in 92 transactions and the weighted average IRR of investments was 111%.

Between 2015 and 2017, FCFM made a strategic investment into Frenkel Topping Group PLC, acquiring a 29.9% stake in the company and during this time Jason served as the Chief Investment Officer and Executive Chairman of Frenkel Topping Group Plc, which managed c.$1bn on behalf of clients.

In Q2 2019, Jason established Kilworth Capital Limited and in Q3 2019, Kilworth completed a £200m capital raise and will begin investing in September 2019.
