An offer that gives turnaround professionals 12 months free membership of a pioneering accreditation scheme has been extended until the end of the year.
The European Association of Certified Turnaround Professionals (EACTP) had been offering a year’s free membership to anyone who applied to become an associate or fellow member before 30 November.
But due to high interest in the incentive, which could save applicants up to £450 in membership fees, the EACTP has decided to let the offer run until 31 December.
This means applicants have an extra four weeks in which to submit their application to join the first European-wide accreditation programme for all turnaround professionals across the continent.
Qualifying applicants will still pay an initial application fee but will be exempt from paying their annual membership for the first 12 months from the date of joining – a saving of up to £400 for associate members and up to £450 for fellow members.
Applications are welcome from anyone who can prove a strong record in turnaround management, including lawyers, bankers, accountants, insolvency practitioners and managers.
To apply applicants need to demonstrate technical expertise and practical experience in turnaround, by providing case studies and references in which they had substantial and significant influence. All applicants will also be interviewed by a member of the EACTP’s standards and admissions committee.
Vera Sabeva Rush, Chief Executive of the EACTP, said: “We have received many requests to extend our membership offer and I am delighted we have been able to do so. I hope many more people take advantage of it to join our pioneering accreditation scheme.”
A growing number of turnaround practitioners from across Europe, including from the UK, Germany, Finland, Poland and France have already qualified as members of the EACTP, and many more applications are currently being dealt with.
Its accreditation programme aims to provide an industry standard ‘kitemark’ of quality in the practice of turnaround and restructuring, by delivering a respected pan-European certification scheme based on the Turnaround Management Association (TMA) Global Certified Turnaround Professional (CTP) programme.
